Spanish label printer TEA Adhesivos Industriales has continued its investment in digital label printing and finishing of labels and booklets with a triple equipment purchase through Santiago Pérez of Rotocon Europe. The deal was secured on the Rotocontrol stand during Labelexpo Europe 2019.

Purchased was a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV, a Rotocontrol Ecoline RDF-350 digital label converting and finishing system, and a Rotocontrol Ecoline RSH-440 for booklet inspection. All three machines are installed and in full production.

With over 30 years’ experience in the industrial labelling industry, TEA expanded into booklet label production in 2017 purchasing a Rotocontrol BL-series booklet label machine fully equipped with a flexo unit, Longford International OS700X triple motor surge feeder, glue applicator, lamination in registration, die cutting unit and more.

“Following the installation of the most complete booklet printing machine in the Spanish market was an increased demand for booklet inspection,” states Alejandro Trigueros, managing director of TEA Adhesivos Industriales. “We again turned to Rotocontrol for their Ecoline RSH as our dedicated machine designed specifically for booklet inspection.

“For a multi-layer product that can reach over a hundred pages, we required a specialized inspection machine that Rotocontrol tailor-made for TEA.”

TEA is also making an entry into short-run digital label printing with the purchase of a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV inkjet label press, to increase service to their customers with a system that offers a range of inkjet label applications and quick turnaround. The company purchased the Rotocontrol RDF-350 system, which provides fast converting and finishing of jobs from their Truepress inkjet press.

“Both Rotocontrol Ecoline investments provide TEA with reliable, fast job setup equipment at an affordable price,” concludes Trigueros.
